Our Shanghai team were hand selected for their expertise in New Zealand food specifically within the Chinese Market. With decades of combined experience working for our sister company, Tribal Brands Asia (TBA) and major restaurant chains in China, the team boasts knowledge, passion, commercial savvy and skill like no other.

TBA is a boutique marketing and activation agency focused on premium food & beverage throughout China. They offer clients a business partnership where they co-create and execute sales & marketing strategy based on grassroots insight. From product activation to brand partnerships; seasonal campaigns to events and POS they bring a fresh, commercial and creative approach and deliver through a wide-reaching network of channels and now internal distribution with Eat The Kiwi.

Our General Manager, local Shanghainese Sarah “Sugar Plum” Song Ex marketing manager of such powerhouse chains as Pizza Express & Xiaonanguo, Sarah knows about the F&B business in china, with her savvy business acumen and sweet nature shes the ETK shanghahi engine room. The NZ connection runs deep in our Shanghai office with Aaron “Aaroncini” Marsich, a former surfer from West Auckland, and our Business Manager, Eleni “Linguini” Hogg, a dab hand at tennis hailing from Nelson. Having both lived in Shanghai for many years (and running our sister company TBA) they bring a wealth of knowledge of both the NZ food scene as well as the Chinese food market.

Together, our goal is to surprise and delight local Chinese with the best of New Zealand’s food and beverage products. Our deep understanding of the market, what works and how to adapt coupled with our connection and deep understanding of both China and New Zealand sets up apart.
